As a member of the Department of Educational Technology AUSTN, Dr. Najmi’s credentials bring a wealth of expertise to her teaching areas of instructional technology, multimedia, distance learning, training & human resource development.
She received her doctorate in 1994 from a highly prestigious institution Peabody College of Education, at Vanderbilt University, USA.
After obtaining doctorate she has completed 13 years of teaching at graduate level in USA, Canada, Pakistan, and undergraduate level at AUSTN, UAE.
Internationally, she has a total of 26 years of academic, corporate and professional experience to her credit. From students evaluation she is an “excellent “educator. She has a good sense of humor and “willing to go to extra mile”.
She has the privilege of achieving, M.A. (Economic development), and M.Ed. from the Vanderbilt University, USA.Dr. Najmi since has been actively involved in promoting professional development for faculty and staff in the use of technology in teaching.
She has designed academic courses and developed training programs, which were implemented by institutions.
Dr. Najmi is the author of several research articles that have been presented in international conferences, in USA, Canada, Pakistan, Cyprus, and UAE.
Dr. Najmi’s research interests include, computer interface design, web-based instruction, educational technology, electronic portfolio system, e- learning, leadership and human resource development
